We have reserved a contingent of rooms at each of the following hotels. The Conference Secretariat will take care of your reservations, but payments should be made directly to the hotel. Rates are per room, per night. Reservations are handled on a first-come, first-served basis. These specially negotiated conference rates are available only when booked through the conference registration system.

Public Transport (Linja-Karjala Oy, +358 20 141 5710)

From/to the airport a shuttle service is provided by Linja-Karjala Oy, between Hotel Scandic, Hotel Puijonsarvi and the Centre of Kuopio (Market Square infront of Anttila Departmentstore). Linja-Karjala Oy operates to all domestic flights, besides flight AY519, arrival time 00.25, which have no bus transport to Kuopio central! Departure from the Airport to the Hotels: 5 – 15 min. after plane arrival from right infront the terminal.

Departure to the airport starting from Hotel Scandic: 1h 5 min, from the Market Square (Anttila stop) 55 min. before plane departure.
Route: Scandic Hotel Kuopio - Sokos Hotel Puijonsarvi - Market Square (Anttila stop) - Bus station (Puijonkatu) - Ramp Päiväranta - Ramp Sorsasalo - Airport

Taxi phone can be found in the entrance lobby. Taxis operate around the clock at any day of the week.

Airport Taxi Service  (Savon Taksi Oy, +358 17 106 400) Only operates from the hotels to the airport.

This Airport taxi service is a cheaper possibility to travel between the Kuopio area and the airport. It will collect you from your hotel. Please book at least 2 hours before plane takes off.
Fares: Kuopio city centre, appr. 18 €/person (prices 2008)

The Airport taxi is not driven:
